Black Door Designs is comprised of husband and wife team, Ammon and Chelsea McKinney.

Both natives of North Alabama, they met by chance at “The Dating Game” – an event put on by Huntsville Young Professionals – in early 2013 and were married a mere 5 months later. In January 2014, they bought their first house to flip as a married couple, and upon Chelsea insisting they paint all the interior doors in the flip black, a company was born with a name describing what would become their “signature”.

Being married and owning a business together isn’t always the easiest thing, but they sure are learning a lot and having fun along the way!
